Twitter. com – Follow Us! Elijah Wood is the latest actor to confirm for the Hobbit – all the news straight from Sundance up next! Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea Cannell and you’re watching Clevver Movies! He’s been holding out for some time but Elijah Wood announced at Sundance that he WILL be joining the cast of the Hobbit Frodo Baggins as. Despite saying he’d never suit up again as Frodo, the actor has decided that his character’s appearance in the movie makes sense for Jackson’s adaptation. His hesitation of course what that Frodo never appeared in Tolkien’s Hobbit. Wood revealed that Frodo’s appearance at Sundance will be a very small piece but that’s what the actor feels is most appropriate. The star would not say much else about the nature of his role but rumor has it he’ll appear in the beginning of each of the film 2. While fans are already excited at the news, Wood seems to be equally as enthusiastic. Naturally it’ll be a welcomed reunion for the cast after a 7 year break and a trip back to New Zealand surely is not anything you’d have to twist his arm over.
